sp_30506Gregory Gaultier claimed his sixth PSA title in a row as he beat Ali Farag in straight games in the final at the Boys and Girls Club in Hidden Valley, Bellevue, a win which will see him reclaim the World #1 position on 1st June.

It wasn’t that simple though, as Farag held a game ball at 10-9 in the first, and four more at 10-6 in the second.

sp_30504Gaultier rallied to take both games 12-10, then moved clear from the middle of an even third game o claim another title in the City he became World Champion just 18 months ago.

The win will see Gaultier back at #1 next month, while Farag will move up to a career best #5.

“I came here to win,” said Gaultier. “I guess I had more matches in the legs than most of the players, but I had confidence, my racquet and the head in the right place. That made the difference today.”
